Before and after room makeovers
Every example below started as an ordinary photo of a real room. Drag the handle to compare.

What changes in a makeover
Looking at many before-and-afters, the same few changes do most of the work. The architecture stays the same; what changes is furniture scale, color, lighting and clutter.
- Clutter goes. Clear surfaces and floors are the single biggest difference between "before" and "after".
- Furniture is sized to the room. One right-sized sofa and a large rug replace several small mismatched pieces.
- Lighting is layered. Floor and table lamps make rooms feel warm and finished.
- A limited palette. Two or three colors repeated around the room look designed.
- One focal point. A bed, a sofa wall or a statement light gets the attention.
How these were made
These designs were created with Redecorly from our own test photos — some tidy, some deliberately messy. Each one is a single photo, one style choice, and a few seconds of waiting. The walls, windows and floors are the originals; furniture, decor and lighting are new.

What the "befores" have in common
Looking at the original photos, the same problems repeat: furniture lined up against walls, small rugs, a single overhead light, and surfaces covered in everyday things. None of these need a renovation to fix — which is good news for your own room.
